Squirrel Removal and Squirrel Control Services
Squirrels are a tricky animal to deal with. A common neighborhood animal, squirrels often find themselves nesting in the warmth and comfort of your attic or crawl space. Notorious hoarders, squirrels have been known to keep a hoard of food and other things in the place they decide to nest. This can result in decaying and rotting food smells wafting in your home. Squirrels also chew up electrical wires causing fire hazards and trample down insulation, making your house lose heat in the winter and air conditioning in the summer. All of these problems are nothing compared to the constant scuttling noises that squirrels often make.
We are experts at squirrel removal and can have them out of your home in no time after our initial inspection. After the inspection, we will replace your damaged insulation, clean out and deodorize the area, fully sanitize the nesting space, and recommend electricians if the need is there.
We are also experts at raccoon trapping and raccoon removal as well as skunk control and skunk removal. We are committed to being here for you whenever the need arises, so do not hesitate to call us for your animal control and management needs and services.
Bat Exclusion Services
If you are looking for a bat exterminator, you are likely seeking the wrong type of person. When you have bugs, mice or other small pests, an exterminator might be a dream come true. However, if you have a bat problem, you should instead be looking for a wildlife specialist or professional company that offers bat removal and exclusion instead of extermination. Even conservationists will tell you that killing bats is not an effective solution. Poisoning bats with pesticides is illegal, and there is no need to kill bats just to get them out of your home.
Bat exterminator companies can be found in some places, but they really aren't the best solution to anyone's bat problems. It is much better for you to find someone to remove and release the bats than to find someone that will kill them. Once you seal up your home and let bats know that they aren't welcome, you shouldn't have a problem with them trying to come back.
Bats are excluded from your home or attic through a live exclusion process. This is done by bat proofing your home with screen, caulking, caps, etc. Also a one-way trap door is installed at the entry point so the bats can get out but not get back in. We are not exterminators or a bat pest control company. We strictly and proudly only use poison free bat control methods. When thinking of exterminator or pest control company we urge you to think of the humane method for bat removal. Bats are protected both federally and in the state of Michigan. No ultrasonic, high frequency device, or bat repellent will get rid of your bats nor keep them out. Moth balls or "bat away" never works. In fact it is harmful to have in your attic or home. FTC gives a warning on the use of ultrasonic pest control devices. For more information check out our "How to Get Rid of Bats" Page.
After all animals have been removed from the premises, we offer services for animal proofing and exclusion, to prevent animal problems in the future. We also provide these services for houses, buildings, etc where animals are not currently present but are desired to be kept out. We offer animal proofing for decks, porches, sheds, stoops, chimneys, bathroom fan vents, stove vents, roof vents, gable vents, attic fans, eaves, soffit openings, foundations, and more. We also specialize in bat exclusions and proofing; chimney caps, and fan and vent screenings.
To clean the attic, I not only remove all of the waste by hand, I use special cleaners, including an enzyme-based cleaner that eliminates any biohazard organic waste from animals, including droppings and urine. I use the electric powered atomizer as shown in the below photo, which creates a fine mist that flows through the whole attic and gets every nook and cranny, for 100% coverage and cleanup. To protect myself against insulation fibers and animal biohazard, I wear a disposable Tyvek suit and I wear the respirator mask, as shown above. This fogging machine, also called an atomizer, sprays my cleaning solution in a fine mist that permeates the entire attic, and makes certain attic cleanup scenarios easy. In a case like this, in which the homeowner did not want total insulation replacement, the enzyme-based cleaner in the atomizer does a good job of breaking down and sanitizing the contaminated areas of the attic. If your attic has wildlife waste or animal poop, then this is one method that can kill harmful pathogens along with the odor. Homeowner's insurance will pay for attic cleanup and restoration in the case of raccoon damage, because of the potential health risks.
Bat Exclusion Services
Many of Michigan's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving Michigan's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We can help with the humane raccoon removal Northwest Michigan residents need. We can assist you in getting rid of that family of raccoons that has invaded your dwelling, and we will safely transport the animals to a more appropriate environment. If you have previously had a problem with raccoons and squirrels, then you know what a menace varmints can be. The same is also true for bats, especially knowing the fact that bats are carriers of the rabies virus. Remember, it is illegal to use poisons to kill bats, so it will be better if you opt for bat traps. However, research has shown that bats have a tendency to return to their roosting place even if they are 150 miles away. Hence, traps may not be a permanent solution to prevent bats from making a home in your house. In such a case, it would be best to go for a permanent bat control measure which ensures that bats do not return to roost in your home.
If you are not comfortable adopting bat control measures, then you can even hire a professional, but be prepared to shell out a few thousands based on the size of your home, the equipment used, the time spent on fixing the holes and crevices and the material used to seal off the holes and openings. Also, before hiring the services of a professional, it is best to get an estimate.

If you've had raccoons living in your attic, it's a good idea to have the attic cleaned. Raccoons leave their waste behind when they inhabit an attic. Sometimes there's a specific raccoon latrine, and most of the poop is piled up in one spot. Sometimes it's spread out all over the attic. Same goes for urine as well. Sometimes it's concentrated in an area, sometimes spread all over the place. The poop is easy to pick up and remove, as in the above photo, because the droppings are large. But the urine soaks into the insulation or even the sheetrock (drywall) or wood in the attic. And not all feces or urine will be accessible to remove by hand. That's when it's important to clean up and properly fog the attic to eliminate the odor and potential unsanitary conditions.
